  • Black and White

My passion for photography started with large-format black and white images. That passion has never left me. While it’s taken me a while to get used to black and white image making with digital cameras, I keep at it because there is something special about the imagery.

  • Compositions

This is a term stolen from Ansel Adams. It’s the term I use for graphic snippets from the world around me that photography seems uniquely suited to express.

  • Movement in Water

Water is special. Not only is it the giver of life, but it reveals so much of the potential of photography. From the wonders of time in relation to its movement to how water can reveal light in ways no other substance can, the exploration of water through photography has brought me immeasurable joy and awe.
