Website - Trips Update

2024 was a very good year, travel wise and photography wise.  While some of the trips might not actually warrant a separate trips gallery (I’m still contemplating the Kellerwald-Edersee Trip and the Ireland trip, which wasn’t intended as a photography trip at all), most certainly photography was foremost in our minds for the three-week trips to Sweden and the UK (England and Scotland).  If you want to cut right to the chase, click here to get to Our Photography Trips page on the website and dive into either or both of the two trips.  Remember, once you’re in one of the trips galleries, all you need to do is to click on any of the image tiles and it takes you to a  one-image-at-a-time gallery where you can use the arrows on the right or left to scroll through larger versions of the photographs

You’ll have plenty of images to look through regardless of which (or both) trip you want to explore.  Take your time to enjoy them.  Our Kellerwald-Edersee trip helped us shake the rust out of our photography and while Sweden posed its own problems (don’t all locations do that though), we both made plenty of images worth examining.

You’ll also have an opportunity to see a lot more of Ann’s images than I’m usually allowed to show.  I pretty much tried to even it out half-half and came pretty darn close I think.

Nobody’s images are labeled, so if you see a crappy image, it’s probably mine.

Also, I didn’t try to do anything fancy with ordering the images, like placing the “best” images on top.  They are sequenced as they arose in time (one of the advantages of time-syncing our cameras), so you may see two or three of Ann’s images in-between one of mine, or vice versa.  The images will flow as they were made during each trip.

While we’re making the images, particularly of new places, it’s often hard to feel good about them.  Even immediately afterwards it can seem like you’ve fallen short of your hopes.  But I have to say, looking at them in the new year has helped me appreciate not only the trips we were able to take last year, but also the images we were able to make while getting out to explore the landscape of different countries.

So head over to the Trips section of the website and enjoy the photographs from last year’s trips to Sweden and the UK.
