Tree Painted Hills - 2019

Given the tension of the past few days, I decided to select a simple image that will hopefully bring some stillness to your lives, if even for only a few moments.  As Charlie, Joe and probably a million other photographers have said, “What photographer can resist a good tree?”  I know I can’t.

So last year when Ann and I took a walk up the main trail at the Painted Hills and this was awaiting us at the end, I couldn’t resist.  No fancy camera, just my point and shoot and a nice clean subject to work with.

May we weather the present times, in all its tumult, knowing that there is an end that can bring something wonderfully unexpected.
