Not So Great Day for Dan
Two words - I'm sick. (Ok, that's really 3 words but ...). The travel has finally caught up with me. Although I worked today, I fortunately didn't have to go out. Luckily tomorrow is Friday, my weekend so I can sleep as long as I want. Dinner was better than lunch, and I've been downing fluids. But ugh . . . . Thank goodness it was a cool 107 degrees today. And don't think I'm feeling bad just because I'm an old guy. (Though I do feel my age at times.) Aside from the soldiers and guards, I'm about middle of the road age-wise. There are lots of folks here between 45 and 65 doing very technical and skilled jobs advising with the State Department, USAID, US Agriculture Department, and the DOJ. Those are the folks that have the experience to talk to judges, lawyers, farmers and educators. There's actually not a bunch of young kids around here. (See, I do read the comments.) Heck, some of my friends told me they had a 76 year-old woman in their crash and bang course (the driving and shooting course) who was headed to Afghanistan. I guess I can be doing this for another 26 years . . . or maybe not.
Here's to hoping it's only a 24 hour bug and I'm feeling up to posting images tomorrow!
