Ann & Dan’s Excellent Adventures
Bimobil Update - Rolling Stones Edition
You can’t always get what you want . . . But if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need! Between the Good, the Bad and the Good, that was definitely the case this week.
Website Updates
We’ve been a bit negligent about updating the website other than the blog posts. We finally got off our butts and updated things a bit. Come on over for a short blog post about the updates, and give yourself some time to check them out.
Dutch Things - Stroopwaffles
Moving to a new country always introduces you to new things. Particularly food-wise. Find out the latest Dutch thing that has caught Dan’s fancy.
Saturday Morning Musings - Ansel
What does a guy do on his first weekend in ages where his to-do list is shorter than 20 items? Come over to the website to find out!
Living in a Village
It’s about time I tell folks a bit about where we live because it’s a bit of a very pleasant change for us. Come on over to the blog site to see what Didam and its environs look like.
I’m no Luddite, but . . . damn!

Come over to the website to find out about our latest discovery about life in Didam.
Getting to know someone.
Dan’s finally getting some free time to let his mind wander and to think about things, profound or (mostly) otherwise. Come check out his latest thoughts on the blog site.
Three Pictures
What could be more Dutch than windmills? Come over to the blog site to check out a short post from a short walk on our first outing away from our immediate area.
Printing the Image - Unpacking Edition
Hi everyone. Ann and I are still unpacking, putting the final touches on making our rental a home (hung a few woodblock prints this weekend), so no real trips yet but . . . it was time to run some ink through the Epson P900 photo printer. Come over to the website to find out how it went.
Going Native - The Dutch Way
It’s taken a bit to get this post out - as you know, it’s been a busy week. But as promised, the trip home to Didam was an adventure of sorts and, of course, the basis for a blog post. Come on over to the site and check it out. There are lots and lots of pictures (but no real photographs, well, maybe a couple that try) - this one is about the journey.
Homecoming!
Sorry folks, this isn’t the story you think it is. That one’s taking longer to write than I expected and I’ve been very busy this week (things are still getting done!). Come on over to the blog to find out what led me to push this story out before the one about my trip back home.
One Step Closer
What a week it’s been. I’ve been in Portugal this week closing things out on the Braga house and, more importantly, being here for pickup of the Bimobil. I won’t give you the gory details of the week, but how about some photos of why we moved to The Netherlands!
What a year!
No, this is not your typical end-of-the-year summary. Think of it more as the “it’s time to catch folks up on where we are and give them the explanation of why we’ve moved that I promised so long ago.” So here it is, and I promise to try and keep the whiny man-baby at bay while I’m doing it.
Netherlands Trip
Get ready folks, this one’s a long one. Fortunately, we’ve got lots of pictures, if not photographs, for you! Check out the blog for our recent trip to The Netherlands on our website.
