Ann & Dan’s Excellent Adventures
Trips - Part 1: The Yorkshire Dales and a 1 on 2 Workshop
It’s time to start the posts about our grand UK adventure. Come over to the blog site to see how our trip to England and Scotland started out!
The Wonder of a Polarizing Filter
No, this is not a political post, it’s about a filter I often use in my photography. Come check out a short post about how it surprised me, yet again, in its effects.
Photographs
I’m trying things backwards this time. For once I was able to actually look at and want to develop photographs before thinking about blogging about the trip. So come check out some of what I think are my better images from our UK trip.
Food!
Who says English and Scottish cuisine is boring? Not us, that’s for sure.
It was the worst of times . . .
Like all longer trips, our trip to England and Scotland had its fair share of ups and downs. I guess that’s why we call them adventures. I’ve decided to start with the downs, just to get them out of the way. Don’t worry, it’s an illustrated downer posting so it’s not all bad news. Plus, it should give you a taste of what’s to come in future posts.
Ann’s Orchid 2
A couple of weekends before heading out on our trip we made a run to the hardware store to get some supplies. There we found an orchid that Ann adored and, being the good husband I am, I suggested we buy it. Come check it out.
Dan’s Portfolio
Back in September I did a post about the portfolio prints Ann was preparing for our November workshop with Joe Cornish in the Lake District of England. This post is about the images I selected to print and take to the workshop.
