C&K in B&W

I guess I didn’t fully cover the “Working the Subject” topic discussed in my last post.  After writing the story, I thought a bit more about the images and decided to take a bit of time to see how a couple of the images looked in black and white.  Thus, working the subject even more.  I think it was time well spent.

Not all images work equally well in black and white as they do in color.  That is particularly so in images that  aren’t high contrast and that have subtlety in their tonal values in ways that do not add interest or mystery.  But these images of the Cat and Kittens from our recent trip carried it off.

Perhaps I should take a look at some of the Bandon images from earlier years?
