Another Quote of the Week
Ann is really great to me! Whatever I need (and things I don’t even realize I need until they arrive) Ann gets and sends to me. Well one of the things I frequently get (mail is good!) are DVDs of shows we watch together at home. In addition to the Daily Show and the Colbert Report (they may be commenting on the news that’s up to a month old, but it’s still funny), she sends me Fringe, CSI (Las Vegas and New York), and two of my real favorites - Justified (there’s a guy at GIZ, the German International Development Agency, who looks, smiles and makes other facial gestures just like Rayland!) and the Walking Dead.
I got a couple of DVD shipments close together last week and for the past couple of days I’ve been watching the 4 final shows of this season’s the Walking Dead. Now, for those of you who aren’t familiar with the show, the Walking Dead is about a group of people trying to survive in a world full of zombies. On the last show of this season, Hershel, an older farm owner who is a deeply spiritual man said:
“I can’t profess to understand God’s plan. But Christ promised a resurrection of the dead, I just thought he had something a little different in mind.”
